His clients include several active and astute entrepreneurial developers, as well as a number of institutional owners and investors active both in New England and throughout the country.

Representative transactions in which Rob has recently provided counsel include:

  • Acquisition, leasing, and disposition of multiple office buildings throughout New England for the sponsors and lead investors of a number of private real estate investment funds;
  • Lease negotiations on behalf of owner/operator of high-end concept café in restaurateur's expansion to new retail locations in Boston and New York City;

  • Representation of client in two 100,000+ leases of recently completed warehouse property in Suburban Boston.

  • Negotiating a post-default settlement and reduced pay-off of client’s mortgage debt with securitized lender, while arranging for replacement financing with structured earn-out provisions on more favorable terms.

Prior to establishing Henshon Parker, LLP, Rob practiced at a boutique real estate law firm in Boston, as well as major general practice firms in Boston and New York. In between, Rob joined with a former colleague in Boston to open a real estate investment advisory subsidiary of a Midwestern super-regional bank, an experience which provided valuable insights into the issues facing institutional real estate investors in the modern marketplace.

Rob received his J.D. with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he was named a Blumberg Scholar and Starr Fellow, and where he was a member of the Connecticut Law Review. Prior to law school, Rob attended Princeton University, where he received his A.B. cum laude in History, and was a member of the University's baseball and rugby teams.

Rob is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the Boston Bar Association, where he currently serves as co-chair of the Leasing Committee of the BBA’s Real Estate Section.
