Lindsay Smith Kafka

Lindsay Smith Kafka joined Henshon Parker LLP as a partner in early 2010. Immediately prior to joining HPLLP, Lindsay founded the Concord Law Group, where she practiced for five years. Her practice focuses on estate planning, asset protection planning, business succession planning, philanthropic planning and probate and trust administration. Ms. Kafka acts as an ongoing family advisor, working with families to help them identify, articulate and implement their unique legacy.

Ms. Kafka received her B.A. from Stanford University, with honors, and her law degree from Boston University, cum laude. Her professional experience includes a clerkship for the Honorable Kermit J. Lipez of the Supreme Judicial Court of Maine, tenure at the Boston law firm of Hill & Barlow as an associate in the Corporate Department, and an of counsel position at Eckel & Morgan, a boutique estate planning firm in Acton, Massachusetts.

Ms. Kafka is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council and the Family Firm Institute, where she received her certificate in Family Business Advising. Ms. Kafka also is a member of WealthCounsel, LLC, a nationwide collaboration of trusts and estates attorneys and other legal, tax and business professionals, as well as the Women's Bar Association, the Boston Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Ms. Kafka currently serves on the board of the Concord Carlisle Scholarship Fund and on the Allocations Committee of the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest. She is a past member of the board of directors of Concord Youth Theatre. Her community service also includes pro bono legal work for the Open Table food pantry in Concord and the Concord Council on Aging’s “Ask-A-Lawyer” program.
